Meet Steph,
RGD's Founder

Steph Whalen is Really Good Design's chief, cook & bottle washer. Starting her own small business, she too understands what it's like to wear many hats while juggling competing priorities.

As a professional, multidisciplinary designer with more than twenty years experience, she's also learned a thing or two about really good design. Her process starts with getting to know who she is designing for and discovering their "why". Data & user insights inform her decisions as she keeps your business goals in mind. She has a knack for seeing the big picture, but takes pride in sweating the details.

Today, most Really Good Design work is still done (or led) by Steph, but we have grown to include a small network of creatives and specialists that can be tapped when the project calls for it.

Design Process

While every project is unique, we start by learning all that we can about you, your business and your goals so that we can be effective in execution. A plan for delivering your unique vision will be tailored to you.

Discover & Strategize

We kickstart every project off with an in-depth consultation to understand your brand, goals, and vision. We assess the current state of affairs, and will recommend a strategic course of action.

Plan

Next, we'll develop a thorough plan to bring your vision to life. We'll construct a project roadmap with defined phases to include time for feedback and iteration.

Design

Really good design is beautiful, but must also function well. User-centered design is the key to designing products & experiences that users love. Our designers will carefully craft solutions based on their years of experience, industry best practices, and insights gained from discovery sessions.

Develop & Deliver

Your branding assets will be created and delivered to you so that you can start using them for any application. Your website will be developed using Webflow, a powerful platform, designed to deliver highly customizable websites quickly and allow easy maintenance thereafter. If we're designing an application, we'll deliver assets and documentation to your developers.

Test & Measure

Once our solution has been delivered, we'll make iterations based on user feedback and available metrics. We optimize to obtain the outcomes most important to you.
